Dr. Check-up

We had our diabetes test today. The orange drink was not nearly as bad as people had told me. I guess I am just a sweets kinda girl. It tasted like a melted otter pop to me :) YUM!  I told Jer if they would have made me I would have drank another one in a heart beat. It only took about 2 minutes to drink it..I could have chugged it but wasn't sure if I was supposed to :)  It took the nurse both arms to draw my blood though..bummer. Note to self request left arm for blood drawing :) I have gained 24 lbs to date. I need to make sure I only gain a pound a week though...from my last appt. until now I have gained 7 lbs! YIKES!  We didn't get to see our regular doc. because she was called out to a delivery so we saw another lady who was equally as nice. I asked her about the positioning of the baby and the head is up near my left rib...she let us feel :) The heart beat was 144 which it has been I think nearly every time we have heard it.  She gave me some reading material and exercises regarding back pain...I get it nearly every night and it is NOT comfortable!  Anyhow, we go back in 4 weeks!

28 weeks...

My Belly...28 weeks

My Belly with maternity pants rolled down to get the full effect of my growing baby...My maternity pants pulled all the way up...just for kicks and so they would feel like they are going to stay up :)  He He!!  I found a pair that fit lengthwise, however, they are still a little big. In  a couple weeks, they will fit good probably. I am still feeling good. My back hurts every night now...very uncomfortable!!

Maternity Pants

So it's time for me to go out shopping for maternity work pants...I went to put on my black pants for work and they were not going to button...BUMMER! Last weekend I tried on a pair, knowing it was in the near future and they didn't fit so great. The legs were too big and they were too short!  I am hoping to go out again this weekend and really look because I need work clothes. I was thinking maybe get some dresses and leggings too!  I was hoping to get away with not having maternity pants, but it looks like that won't be happening. I decided on jeans instead. They were fine until the drive home, I had to unbutton them for sitting a long duration. Sweats were on as soon as I walked in the door!  My belly is growing by the day I think :) I will post a new pic once I take one. We almost to 28 weeks...it still seems like we have a ways to go, once we reach 30 weeks I think it will begin to feel close. I have a little countdown timer thingy, and we have less than 85 days!! Crazy! I remember my wedding countdown and it went fast...I have my next appt. next Friday. It is the diabetes test. Yum I get to drink a bottle full of concentrated orange flavored drink!  Sounds delicious!!!

I can't get a pic to upload of the babies room...bummer! I will try again another day! Ta Ta!!

purging

here is a pic of Jer and me on Christmas day at my parents house. We are doing well. We got a crib yesterday, and I helped Jerret set it up. It has gotten me in the mood to get the babies room put together. When we moved in our plan for the "spare" room was just that...a spare room. We were eventually going to turn it into a guest room. But in the mean time the closet was organized with all our stuff we weren't sure what to do with. Now my task is to figure out what to do with all that stuff. I have been goodwilling some of it and consolidating other stuff to fit into other closets. Hopefully the economy will turn around within the next year and next spring sometime we can begin looking for a bigger house. We bought this knowing we didn't want to live here forever, but just as our starter home. It has been great for that. We have slowly been making updates, and probably won't get a chance to do everything we have envisioned but that's okay. Our task at hand is the babies room. We are keeping the paint color the same...a greenish..I will post a pic (it was when we were still working on the floor...once the room is done I will post a finished pic)...we need to finish the molding from when we put in laminate floors and then it will be done...besides me finishing cleaning out the "junk"!  It is amazing how much 2 people can accumulate in just over a year!
