Nursing

And when I say nursing I do not mean the medical kind, but rather the kind I do to feed my baby...

I am very fortunate to be able to nurse my little darling...however, I wonder, why she feels the need to eat every 1 1/2 - 2hours??? I could probably answer this myself...because she throws what seems like it all back up and then some within a half hour of eating in the first place! FRUSTRATING! Feeding every 2 hours isn't a 2 hour break either... it ends up being about an hour maybe hour in a half break...it is from start to start not end to start. But I guess I need to take what I can get from her. At least she is nursing a little from my left...so I am not COMPLETELY lop sided...even though I am lop sided...:)

I have a couple other questions too...
Why when she starts eating, does she stop and take her lips away and then rout around and end up sucking her hand or trying to for my arm and act like she has no idea what she is doing?

No matter what time I hold her, if she is awake she routs around like she wants to eat. I guess she smells her food but seriously kid?! :)  I am more than a feeing mechanism!

Even though the nursing thing isn't the most glorified part of being a mommy, it is still a crucial part in my book. The benefits that come out of it are wonderful and it is pretty convenient...most of the time...and besides I am not very modest any more so I am willing to nurse where ever as long as others aren't grossed out by it...and yes I cover up...I am not a let it all hang out kind of person (unless I am at home...come on people it is just a boob) :)

This cracks me up! You always crack me up. K was such an easy breast feeder that I thought something was wrong. ;-) BUT since you have these questions you should call the # they gave you at the hospital. lactationist (sp?) Talk to them and ask your questions. You should feel comfortable and have all your answers to all your questions. Sometimes it's just the position you hold her FOR AWHILE after you breastfeed that makes her keep it down. Therefore staying fuller and therefore less boob time. ;-) Good luck momma!
